Radiator Towel Heaters

A Hydronic Radiator Towel Heater Provides Comfort, Luxury and Health Benefits

By Mark J. Donovan

The first time I was introduced to a radiator towel heater was when I stepped out of a shower on my honeymoon in England and bumped my derriere into one. Suffice it to say it was a shock, as there was no towel covering the heater when I bumped into it. To this day I still have a 2 inch long by 1 inch wide scar that graces my rear-end. Though my first experience with a hot radiator towel warmer started off on the wrong foot, I have to say in later years I grew to fully appreciate them. There’s nothing like wrapping a warm bath towel around you as you step out of a shower.

Though my first experience with a bathroom radiator towel heater was a bad one, I chalked it up to an ancient model that did not have the safety control features integrated into it to prevent scalding water from coursing through it.

Today’s modern radiator towel heaters have come a long way both in safety and in looks, and if you are remodeling your bathroom I highly suggest taking a look at one of these creature features. Hydronic radiator towel heaters provide both elegance and function to a bathroom that you’ll fully appreciate.

Once you step out of a shower on a cold winter morning and wrap yourself in a toasty warm towel you’ll never want to be without one in your bathroom again. Radiator towel heaters also provide the added benefit of helping to reduce dust mites in your home by lowering the moisture levels in your bathroom and home. They also help to provide additional heating capacity in your home.

Though there are alternatives to hydronic towel heaters, they lack many of the benefits and energy savings. For example, unlike hydronic radiator towel heaters, electric towel heaters consume a great deal of electricity to heat the coils in them.

Similarly, hot air towel heaters which plug into a local GFCI outlet, have an unsightly wire hanging from them. In addition, they are noisy and blow dust around in the bathroom.

Radiator towel heaters on the other hand are extremely quiet, are highly energy efficient, very clean looking since there are no wires dangling from them, and will not blow dust around the bathroom. One of the other major benefits of hydronic radiator towel heaters is that they operate off your main hot water heating system.

Radiator towel warmer heaters come in a plethora of shapes and styles. They also come in a variety of finished surfaces including chrome and various painted colors. Radiator towel heaters are not limited to just the bathroom.

You may also want to consider using them in pool changing areas, in a mud room, or even in a basement.
