WORX Introduces Revolutionary New Drill Driver Tool with Rotating Dual Chuck for Improved Work Efficiency
By Mark J. Donovan
In this video Mark Donovan of http://homeadditionplus.com reviews the WORX 20V MAXLithium Drill/Driver tool (WX176L).
The WX176L 20V MaxLithium Switchdriver is WORX’s latest cordless drill/driver tool that includes a revolutionary rotating dual chuck design. The unique dual chuck feature eliminates the user from having to take extra time to stop and swap out a drill bit with a driver bit when a pilot hole is required prior to sinking a screw.
In addition to the rotating dual chuck feature, the WORX 20V MAXLithium Switchdriver also sports a variety of other useful attributes. First, it has an LED worklight on the business end of it so that you can see what you are working on when using the tool.
The Switchdriver tool also has a two speed button for controlling the rotational speed of the motor. In one position, with the push of the trigger switch the Switchdriver rotates at speeds from 0 to 400 RPMs. And in the second position, with the push of the trigger switch, the Switchdriver motor rotates from 0 to 1,500 RPMs.
There is also a forward and reverse button on the WORX 20V MAXLithium Switchdriver for controlling the rotational direction of the chuck and drill/driver bits.
In addition, the WX176L Switchdriver is powered by a 20V Lithium Ion battery for providing superior torque power. The battery has a 5 hour recharge time. Moreover, there is a thumbwheel on the base of the tool that can be adjusted to control the amount of torque supplied by the tool. The Switchdriver can provide up to 310 inch-lbs of torque at the highest setting on the torque thumbwheel, and has a drilling capacity of 1 inch in wood and 3/8 inch in steel.
The WX176L Switchdriver is also extremely rugged, yet only weighs 3 lbs with the battery installed. Thus it is perfect for all types of home improvement projects, including installation of door/cabinetry hardware, assembly of shelves and furniture, hanging pictures/curtains, and even some electrical/plumbing projects.
In regards to availability, the WX176L WORX 20V Switchdriver Cordless Drill & Driver can be purchased at a variety of online websites, including Amazon. See WORX WX176L 2-in-1 Switch Drill & Driver. In addition, it is available at Lowes. At the time of this review, the WX176L Switchdriver kit sells for $119.99, and includes the Switchdriver, two batteries, a battery charger and three drill/drive bits. The WORX 20V MAXLithium Switchdriver tool also comes with a 3 year warranty.
So if you are in the market for a cordless drill/driver tool, I highly recommend checking out the WORX 20V MAXLithium Switchdriver. It is ideal for small, medium and even some large home improvement projects. It’s got plenty of power and is extremely rugged, yet light enough that anyone can use it comfortably.
