Should a separate heating system be installed in the home addition? What type of supplementary heating system should be installed in the home addition? All of these are very valid questions and the best person to answer your questions on how to heat a home addition is an HVAC contractor\/technician.<\/p>\n<p>An HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) contractor can either be found working independently or for a home heating fuel supply company.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>I have used both on previous home addition projects and each is capable of providing you with excellent answers on how to heat a home addition.<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 100%;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\" width=\"50%\">An HVAC contractor can evaluate the size of your new addition, and your existing heating system, to determine if it is large enough to support the new living space. Much of his analysis involves comparing the amount of BTUs (British Thermal Units) the furnace system can produce with the amount of BTU\u2019s required to heat your home with its additional new living space.
