Also remove the mounting bracket that attaches to the electrical outlet box.<\/span><\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 100%;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\" width=\"50%\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Next, twist off all of the wire nuts that connect the hot, neutral and ground wires together between the light fixture itself and the electrical box wiring.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Now, attach the new bathroom light fixture mounting bracket to the electrical box, securing it with the original screws that held the original mounting plate. The ground wire is the bare copper wire. Make sure to twist the wires first before attaching a wire nut to them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Then attach the bathroom light fixture&#8217;s black wire to the black wire (or red wire) coming out of the electrical box. The black\/red wire is the hot wire.<\/span><\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 100%;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\" width=\"50%\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Finally attach the bathroom light fixture&#8217;s white wire to the white wire coming out of the electrical box. The white wires are the neutral, or return wires.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Next, attach the light fixture to the mounting bracket.
