In addition, it is important to make sure it is high enough off the floor of the bathroom so that both the inner and outer shower curtains do not drag on the tub or bathroom floor, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The first step in installing an adjustable shower rod is to determine where to place it. Use a pencil and make a mark on the wall, approximately 6 inches above the shower\/tub stall and centered on the front wall of the shower\/tub unit.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>Repeat the process on the other side of the shower\/tub unit. Make sure the marks are equidistant from the back wall of the shower\/tub unit.<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 100%;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\" width=\"50%\">Next measure the distance between your two marks.<\/p>\n<p>Now adjust the width of your shower rod to just shy of this measured distance.
