In addition, sometimes the sink stopper linkage can become loose or the sink stopper nut can be so tight that the sink stopper does not operate correctly or smoothly.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">To adjust a sink stopper first check to see if the sink stopper nut, which sits behind or to the side of the sink drain is tight, but not too tight. If the sink stopper handle is too difficult to push or pull then the sink stopper nut is too tight. If it is too loose you may notice a small puddle of water underneath the sink.
