Silicone caulk adheres well to just about anything with the exception of old silicone caulk.<\/p>\n<p>When caulking a shower stall, I find it best to use masking tape. I like to apply a strip of masking tape just above and below the joint or seam that I want to caulk.<\/p>\n<p>This way after applying the caulk and running my finger along the bead of it, I can simply remove the masking tape to obtain a clean caulk joint.<\/p>\n<p>In regards to the type of caulk to use in a shower or bathtub area, I typically use an Acrylic Latex Caulk with silicone from DAP. This type of caulk creates a flexible waterproof seal that dries fast. It is also extremely durable, and is mold and mildew resistant.
