Installing a toilet tissue holder is easy to do, however there are a few things to watch out for. First, you want to ensure proper spacing between the two toilet tissue side mount backplate covers. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">If the spacing is too wide, the toilet tissue rod won\u2019t be able to stay locked in between the two side mount backplate covers. If the spacing is too narrow, you won\u2019t be able to fit the toilet tissue role in between the side mount backplate covers, even if you can compress the toilet tissue rod.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Also, it is important to make sure the toilet tissue side mount backplate covers are level with each other, so that the toilet tissue roll doesn\u2019t look like it\u2019s on a slant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">It is not imperative that the toilet tissue side mount backplate covers be fastened into a wall stud, though it\u2019s always preferred for at least one of the sides of the toilet tissue holder.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">To install a toilet tissue holder, start by marking a location for it on the bathroom wall or vanity approximately 24 inches off of the bathroom floor. This mark will represent the center height of the toilet tissue holder.<\/span><\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 100%;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\" width=\"50%\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Next, most toilet tissue holders have a template for marking the specific locations for mounting the side mount brackets. Position one side of this template so that it is centered over the mark you made on the wall. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">On the other side of the template, use your pencil to make another mark in the center of the other template area opening. Make sure when doing this that the template is level with the floor. You may want to hold a level over the top edge of the template when making your marks.<\/span><\/td>\n<td style=\"text-align: center;\" width=\"47%\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4719\" src=\"http:\/\/homeadditionplus.com\/dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Toilet_Tissue_Holder-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Ho w to install a toilet tissue holder.\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/homeadditionplus.com\/dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Toilet_Tissue_Holder-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/homeadditionplus.com\/dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Toilet_Tissue_Holder.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Next center one of the toilet tissue side mount brackets over one of the pencil marks, and mark two additional marks on the wall, where the screws will go through the bracket.\u00a0Repeat the process on the other side of the toilet tissue holder.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Now, assuming you are not planning to mount the toilet tissue holder over a wall stud, use a drill and a \u00bc\u201d or 5\/16\u201d drill bit, and drill pilot holes into the wall at the pencil mark locations targeted for the mounting bracket screws.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Next, using a hammer, gently tap the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/homeadditionplus.com\/dev\/drywall\/installing-wall-anchors\/\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\">plastic folded wall anchors<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/span>, flush into the drywall.<\/span><\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 100%;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\" width=\"50%\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Then fasten the mounting brackets to the wall using the screws provided with the toilet tissue holder kit.
