How to Remove Ceramic Wall Tiles from a Ceramic Tile Shower Stall
By Mark J. Donovan

In this video, Mark Donovan of HomeAdditionPlus.com shows how to remove ceramic wall tiles from a ceramic tile shower. Whether the ceramic tiles are beginning to fall off the shower walls, or you simply want to update your custom ceramic tile shower you will need to remove the old ceramic wall tiles from the shower. Removing ceramic wall tiles requires a hammer, chisel, flatbar, utility knife, and a good set of work gloves and safety goggles. |
I reiterate safety goggles. Safety glasses are insufficient when removing ceramic wall tiles.
If the ceramic wall tiles butt up against the ceiling, use a utility knife to score the seam where the ceramic wall tiles meet the ceiling. This will help to prevent the ceramic tiles from pealing away the textured ceiling.
