Today it appears painted white kitchen cabinets have come back in fashion. People seem to like the bright and clean look of white kitchen cabinets. Kitchen Flooring Trends Tile and linoleum flooring appear to be taking a back seat to wood floors in kitchen remodeling projects today. Wood floors provide a warmer look to the kitchen, and unlike ceramic tiles or linoleum, they won’t crack or split if something heavy and/or sharp is dropped on them. Kitchen Sink Trends Homeowners are choosing deeper stainless steel sinks today. Often they are going with single bowl sinks. In cases where homeowners prefer double bowl sinks, my preference if you do a lot of cooking, they are going with low divide double bowl sinks. Kitchen Faucet Trends In terms of kitchen faucet selection, most homeowners are opting for very modern / industrial style faucets today. Moreover, they are choosing auto-touch activation faucets over traditional handle operation faucets. Kitchen Pantries Many new kitchen designs are including butler pantries.

Having a large closet or pantry in or just off the kitchen provides easier access to stored food products and for kitchen maintenance items. Some kitchen pantries also offer neat little areas for coffee or min-bars.

When it comes to kitchen countertops, Silestone, or quartz like countertop surfaces, appear to have an edge on granite countertops these days. Quartzite countertops are bright and durable as well as natural. They also are available in a plethora of colors and design features.
