Mark Donovan, of HomeAdditionPlus.com shows how to attach furring strips to concrete basement walls in this video.
When finishing a basement or mounting an electrical sub panel to a concrete basement wall, furring strips need to be attached first to the concrete walls. Furring strips are narrow strips of lumber, such as 2x4s, 2x3s, or 1x3s that are attached to the concrete basement walls with concrete fasteners. Once installed, drywall or paneling can then be attached to the furring strips. |
